Using Checkboxes etc. on Custom Toolbar

Thanks, but I've always found Object Browser singularly useless. It is just a list of items: yes it lists properties, methods, & events of the Checkbox, or whatever, but doesn't tell you anything about them - or have I missed something all this time?

Using Checkboxes etc. on Custom Toolbar

I can customise a toolbar by adding controls, and Help tells you how to use Command Buttons. But if I add a Checkbox. Option Button, or Toggle button, Help is its usual unHelpful self. How does one show or hide the tick in the Checkbox? How does one read the state of these Controls? How does one...

    OLE Object Sizes

I have exactly the same problem. Please, Mr Clickster, have you found an answer? I must add that if you delete the offending table & re-compact, you STILL have a huge file size. This suggests that this is may be a bug in Access rather than being our fault. Pandigel

    Start Menu setup

Thanks guys, problem solved. Linney, you added the last piece of the jigsaw. I'd done a search for shortcuts but not found these extra ones - that's XP's stupid search hound. If anyone knows how to put Win 98's search system onto Win XP that would really benefit mankind. Pandigel

    Start Menu setup

Going to Start -> All Programs on my machine, there are some 21 folders and a number of shortcuts to programs. Many of these are not required. Opening Windows Explorer, I went to . . \Documents and Settings\Martin\Start Menu\Programs thinking to remove a few unwated folders and shortcuts, only...

    CSS sheet not linking

Sorry to be so slow in replying. I greatly simplified the site to post the source & voila! no problem: both frames have the required lime-coloured background. I tinkered with the proper site all one evening to no avail, must be something very simple staring me in the face. If anyone has a few...

    CSS sheet not linking

I run a website with two frames. They share a common CSS file. On my local version of the website, it runs properly, but when all the files are uploaded, one pane doesn’t link to the CSS file, but the other does. The result is that one pane does not have my selected back-color, but the other...

    Trouble selecting Excel cells

Occasionally Excel 2000 goes into a curious mode where cells selected are coloured light blue, but can't be copied or changed. The number of cells selected can be changed, but nothing can be done with them. I can't change to another worksheet. All I can do is quit without saving (therefore...

    Access crashes

Several (?all) my access databases open OK but when I open a table and click on menu item "Edit" a message appears "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". All other menu items seem to be OK. I've repaired the database (or at least two of them), and reloaded both...
