I might be inheriting an NBU 4.5 environment to provide restores only.
My enviroment is NBU 5.1 MP5 with LTO2 tapes.
Is it possible to restore LTO1 tapes using an LTO2 tape drive?
Can I restore backups for a 4.5 client using my 5.1 enviroment?
I don't think I can do this but I have to ask...

I've seen this behavior before. It's a feature of bpsched for this version. The fix is either to get the "special" bpsched patch or upgrade to fp7. I applied the patch.
I've seen similar behavior and for me it was corrupt policies. When I deleted the policies and then recreated them it took care of the issue.
I was told by Veritas not to copy policies because this could cause corruption.
