    Add Hours to Sysdate

I finally figured it out. I used this for today at 4 pm: trunc(sysdate) + 16/24 I used this for tomorrow at 4 pm: trunc(sysdate) + 1 + 16/24 Using the trunc function (our db is Oracle) made the time go back to midnight and then I just added 16 hours and for the second one, added a day plus...

    Add Hours to Sysdate

I am trying to create a new object (or two) in a universe. The user wants data pulled every day at 4 pm for the next 24 hours. I know which date field he wants me to use. I pulled an object called Today into the report. It is based on sysdate and shows today's date and time at 12:00 am. I...

    Query Builder

Is it possible to use the Query Builder to get a list of all Universes that have a connection in which the connection is owned by a certain user? I do not care who owns the universe, just the connection. I can already get a list of universes. I can already get a list of connections that are...

XIR2 Repository Explorer - Manage Objects option

Hello: I recently migrated a bunch of crystal reports from XIR1 to XIR2. Users are complaining that when they are in Crystal Reports (the client) and have Repository Explorer open, logged into the repository, find a report in Enterprise Items, right click on the crystal report, and select...

    XIR1 Check User Rights Button

I want to be able to give a specific group the ability to see the "Check User Rights" button when on the "Rights" tab of all folders in our XIR1 system. Is this something only for Administrator's group? Can this be delegated? I do not want to add more users to the Administrator's group. Are...

    Modify Crystal Report in InfoView

Other reports that are in the BOEXIR2 application do not product this error when I select Modify. We have the correct license type.

    Modify Crystal Report in InfoView

I am using BOEXIR2, SP1, CHF17. I have a user who published a .rpt to BOEXIR2. It runs under the Properties, Preview tab and also under History, Run Now. It also runs fine in InfoView. Where it is failing is in InfoView when Modify is selected. This is the error: "CrystalReportViewer...

CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: There is not enough space on the disk

I have seen this error with Crystal Enterprise 9. I found out that when my local drive on which CE9 was installed (in my case, Drive C) got down to about a half a gig, CE started to complain. It was like it needed space to operate. I cleared out a lot of log files and turned off some auditing...

    Sorting on a Percentage

-LB and Ido: You guys got me confused now. As for the moment, there are no more than 1 bid per listing, and either there is a bid, or there is not on that single listing. I will ask user if there will ever be a possibility that there can be more bids on a single listing. Either he's useing...

    Sorting on a Percentage

-Ido, yes I understand. But, I wouldn't put it past this user to ask me to do what you suggest. I thought about that over a week ago. Your solution will be here when the times comes. Oh, and I bet it will, reports never seem to stay the same and they NEVER go away, always evolving, always...

    Sorting on a Percentage

Ido: I don't quite follow. I do understand the 133% thing, but then the user wants it sorted, from highest to lowest, on that percentage. For example: 133% Records: Ford Ranger Bumper 2007 XLT: Bids = 4 Listings = 3 ------------------------------------------ 100% Records: Pontiac Grand Am...

    Sorting on a Percentage

    - Ido: I hope the user doesn't come back at me and say he wants a sum on the bids for the cases where there was several bids on the same item. I had actually thought about that. For example, let's say he's selling Ford Ranger Bumpers Model 2007 XLT's. Listing 1 for Ranger Bumper: Bids = 3...

    Sorting on a Percentage

As you know, it was pretty late the night before last before you finally figured out the solution as we were here going back and forth in this forum. When I went and looked at it yesterday, one of my earlier SQL Expressions had Sum instead of Maximum on it. I simply removed it from the report...

    Sorting on a Percentage

    Sorting on a Percentage

LB: My thoughts exactly. I noticed last night that, for some reason, it kept wanting to change from to Sum from Maximum, like it was fragile or something. Can't wait to get to my other box to test this, wrap this up, and call it a day!

    Sorting on a Percentage

LB: Now user is saying that data is getting sorted by number of bids, not by the ratio formula. Sure enough, I looked at the .pdf file I sent him last night, along with the .rpt, and it is sorting by the count of the bids. I got way into the .pdf, over 200 pages, before I saw this behavior...
