I use this same control in some of my vb applications and I have never had any problems with it working. Can you be a little more detailed on the problem and tell me what type of operating system this is running on and what version of VB you are using?

Have you tried the validate method of the text control? It works quite well in these conditions. You can even set it so that it will stay in focus until the proper text is entered.

The eVB that Mircosoft produces will only program the Windows CE environment. It was not intended to work with a PocketPC os.

Have you looked at some of the third party controls for printing files like this? I have seen some out there that are freeware and some that are shareware but I am not sure what they are called.

If you are wanting to compare the data in a list box with a variable you can do it this way.

I am not sure that this will help you but I read a knowledge base article from Microsoft about the use of .tlb files vs. .dll files for the ado. It is best to look in your project references and make sure that your ado library is using the latest .dll file and not a .tlb file. It worked for me...

There is a freeware control that you can actually do alot of stuff with called pcl4vb. I am not sure if it will read the USB port or not but it might be what you are looking for. I hope this helps.

You could check the printer properties for the printer and make sure that the properties are set to spool print job. It sounds like it is a printer property issue because you changed to a new printer. I hope this helps.
