What is the best working policy for a group of servers running clustering mode. In the event one server fails another takes over without having to amend the policy.
Do I add a rule with the virtual ip of the nodes or insert individual node addresses ?
No sure if anyone has this setup and...
Curently we have a single w2k server managing 5-6 enforcement modules.
Does anyone have any guideline on how to move from a single management station to using High availability ?
Any useful guidelines/documents on how to set this up ?

Hi Chris,
1) Does this require stopping any services ?
2) Can I keep a copy of the license on both servers in case I need to rollback ?
3) Any major changes required on the Nokia's ?
4) Also I guess we need to re-enter new SIC password for all enforcement modules ?
Thanks,
We are in the process of migrating out our old NG AI checkpoint management servers and replacing them with new compaq DL380's.
Does any one know what the processes and procedures are for migrating the policies and logs over to the new server ?
Any help appreciated
Currently I have 2 routers A (Primary) & B (Backup). Router A is in a seperate building to router B.

Hi,
Is anyone using webcasting (real time streaming) to the desktop on a cisco switched network as well as internationally on a wide area network?
Any pros /cons and things to consider before implementing this ? Also best products for this ?
Many Thanks,

Using solarwinds to monitor cisco 6509 switches. Currently solarwinds is reporting alot of transmit discards on a few interfaces connecting to windows servers.
I'm not seeing any actual errors reported on the switch interface itself.
What does this mean ?
Is setting up udp port 161 all you need for the management server ? Do you not need to get a response back ?
Does this port use ping ? and is this required as well ?
Currently we have no way of managing our devices in the DMZ area. This seems to be a major problem at the moment and hence we are looking at solutions on how we can best do this without compromising security.
We are using solarwinds, openview and ciscoworks for management.
