I wish to write a Crystal Report that will return Staff records that have not enetered a transaction between two given dates. If I was to write it in SQL it may look like;
=======================================================
select full_name from staff
where staff_ref not in
(select...
I have created a conditional running total in a Crystal 8.5 report, then used that running total in another formula. However if the condition is not struck and the running total is not established the subsequent formula fails to resolve. I suspect that a running total that does not start has a...

Excellent - thanks for that, I actually used the command on the Column Headers themselves, as opposed to the section format, as I had other items in the section.

I have built a report with 4 groups and wish to utilise the Drill Down function for each group. I display;
On generation - Page Header
- & Group Footer 1 (Multiple row returned)
- Report Footer
On first drill - Group Header 1
& Group Header 2...
I have quite a simple report, consists of;
- Page Header, that includes column heading for Detail
- Detail Section
- Report Footer, that contains a Sub Report.

The formula appears not to work because the rows are not sorted by the {learn.unitcode} field. So while I may have multiple rows with duplicate/matching {learn.unitcode} values, those rows are not sequential in the report. So the 'PREVIOUS' command does not apply.......

{learn.unitcode} = previous({learn.unitcode})
will not work. Any thoughts?
Well it appears complicated to me....
My selection parameter is field1 on table1 from which I accept field2, I then want to re-scan table1 and select and report all records that match field2, irrespective of the value held in field1.
I achieved this to a certain degree by re-writing my SQL via...
Hi all;
I would like to place a condition on the New Page Before feature of a given Group - the condition being "if the group about to be printed will not fit on this page" i.e. I am happy with multiple groups per page as long as each group is an entire group.
I recognise that even...
Ido -
Thanks for that response. It deffinately allows me to group by week. However am delaing with a Time Sheeting system where payroll weeks run Wednesday to Tuesday which is controlled from my WEEK table. Group by Week uses a standard Sunday to Saturday week.

Hi, am a new CR 8.5 user so hope this is a reasonable question.
Within the database in hand, I have a table that identifies WEEKS by a start and end date. The transaction file only holds the transaction date and not a direct link to the WEEK reference etc.
I want to GROUP the various...
