I have created a conditional running total in a Crystal 8.5 report, then used that running total in another formula. However if the condition is not struck and the running total is not established the subsequent formula fails to resolve. I suspect that a running total that does not start has a null or no value, instead of the 0 value I expected. So the mathmatical calculation I attempt fails. Any ideas on how to provide the Running Total that does not start with a default value of 0/Zero?

Hi !

If you test your running total for the null value I think you will have it right.

Like this:

if IsNull({#RTotal}) then
0
else
Your calculation

Top effort - all works really well. Appreciate the input.
