HI TSST. a,c,cdrom,is set in the BIOS.the led is coming on but then goes to c:i did fdisk & format ok.not sure if it is being detected

I have set in the Bios for the pc to read A,C,CDROM in that order.so why is`nt the pc loading from the floppy drive it goes directly to C:/ any suggestions as to what is going on here..thanxs

Hi Ed. This is a pre-historic pc Ed.the pci board i placed on the motherboard is the only way i can connect a mouse(serial). without this board i have no mouse opperation.but i will try & see if i can disable the comms ports thanxs 4 everything Ed steve wiseman

Hi Just saw your message..is the jumper on the motherboard set correctly.if you are getting sound from 1 jack then the jumper is set correctly for 2 speakers,if you want dolby surround with 4 speakers change the jumper setting on the board.the jumpers for the ac 97 codec are a little backward...

Hi Ed Thanxs so much 4 your help.I now have my Drive back However I have put in a card to the motherboard to operate the serial mouse..what comes up is this. CONFLIICT I/O PORTS 378:2F8:3F8.On this pci board are jumpers numbered j1 to j10 all in a line any ideas as to what the settings are ED.
