They are in the same building but on different floors right above each other. I have ordered an 1800 8 port one that HP tells me will hard code to 1000FDx in case I cannot get this to work. The hard part of all this is we are the hub and everytime I test this everyone else loses the...
The cable running from the Cisco to the patch panel I did not test as it was provided by them and is a cross over. I did however try a straight through CCat6 cable that was tested with our Fluke and that was fine. I was not sure if I could use a straight through for that.
It is just irritating...
Cat 6 cable, connecting to Cat 6 backbone. The thing is I cannot set the Procurve to 1000FDx in the menu or CLI. If I can get that done I am thinking it will work.
Does anyone know if it is posible to hard code a port on a 5406ZL switch to 1000FDx? I am trying to connect to a switch that I cannot control (Cisco 3550 with copper GBic) and the GBic is hard coded in teh hardware to 1000FDx. HP is telling me to set it to Auto 1000 and it should work. Well...
yes, even went so far as to reboot. The thing that baffles me is that it works inside. I have tried several differents permissions on the web site and that doesn't help. I deleted and recreated the IISPWDADM virtual directory from scratch and it did not help.
okay this works fine from inside the network, the minute anyone tries from outside they are getting a 10061 ISA connection refused error. SSL is set up and everything else works fine, I have gone through all kinds of articles on how to configure SSL for OWA and everything appears to be setup...
Hi all, we have our system setup to do queries to check to see if software exists or not. If not then it installs it based on where it is etc. I have one computer that tells me Flash is not installed except that I know for a fact it is. THe query checks the Add/Remove list for the program...
I am tryign to determine the effect of renaming our client computers. Currently all computers are in collections in SMS, we are looking a re-doing our naming convention to better describe the location of the clients. What I am wondering is what the ramifications of renaming clients that are...
This has been resolved. We had packaged an update that contained a bunch of MS updates and sent it out to all computers. It seems that part of that update package was not applying correctly and each time it tries to initiate the install the users screen blinked as the program failed. The issue...
We are seeing an issue that I am at a loss to explain. Users are reporting seeing their screen "blink", that is turn blue or black (depending on who reports) then coming back on again (similar to but a lot faster than an explorer exe crash). Also, the cursor may or may not be where it was when...
For some reason our remote assistance in gone nuts. We have one site that is flat out refusing to cooperate. We cannot offer remote assistance- error is "You do not have access to logon to this session". The same error comes up if they request remote assistance. The only thing that has...
A 2000 licensing server will not issue licenses to a 2003 terminal server. You will need a 2003 license server. Where that box can go is another matter that I have a post up about right now.
Jim, I am curious about a couple of things since you have done this already. We have a 2000 domain and are toying with putting 2003 TS servers in place of teh existing 2000 TS servers. WE do not want to upgrade the DC however to 2003 due to schema changes and the unknown effects to AD as a...
