Ocraware has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL
Thanks Jim, I've got a USB only Gateway computer though. Time has been a great healer on this one i.e. I had time over Christmas to solve it. It turns out that OCRAWARE is not some exotic sort of 'ware' but stands for O.C.R. Aware from Omnipage software. I re-installed the scanner software...- swanon

I have 'solved' the ME part of this problem by using the system restore facility. But I've just been told by 'RoyT' (who's stood next to me) that USB scanners have a problem and to check the knowledge base.- swanon

I first got the above message several days after installing a USB scanner (I assume ocraware is something to do with optical character recognition) into my new Gateway USB computer. On boot-up I get no mouse and a 16-colour screen on 600 x 840. It is possible to change these settings in the...- swanon

IBM Remote Async node 16 port RS232
Our system has 3 of these terminal servers addressed by Smitty. After a power failure we have endless fun trying to get the addresses to match with the boxes. Is there a way of forcing them to keep a particular range of 16 numbers.
