    Many thanks for all your help, it seems like a software problem with the software we got with the CPU (pc alert). Checked in the BIOS this morning and everything running fine i'll keep an eye on it, once again thanks for all the advise

    I have just built my son a computer I put a 2400+ amd CPU in it. The temp has been running at aroung 53c for over a week until now when its hit 123c and closed down. Anybody any ideas on what is wrong and what I should do.

    I have a NIC in my main computer and a modem card for the broadband adapter, then my cat 5 goes to the other computer into the NIC card. The two computers talk know problem etc but the 2nd one fails to enter the Internet, I did manage it for a couple of minutes the other day how I haven't a clue.

    Hi managed to set up a LAN between two computers, used 192.168.0.1 etc can get the two computers to talk and share but can't get the 2nd computer to use the internet, please help this is taking to much time and its not funny know more!!

    I have the W32.HLLP.Handy virus, i'm running Norton Anti virus but somehow i've got this virus and can't get ride of it. It has slowed my machine right down to a stand still. Its the second time I've had it, last time I cleared the hard drive, I really don't want to do that again. PLEASE HELP
