We use ghost... we have an image for each model (about 5) and we boot to a CD that gets us on the network. Then run ghost and point to the image. It takes about 10 minutes... we then join the domain, setup the user on the PC and done.
Workgroup and Domains are irrelevent when trying to access a database. The question is kind of vague, but if you just need to get to the Database (such as through Access or another database query tool), then you need to setup a DSN on your side with the correct username/password that is given...
Any type of Outlook add-ins such as search bars. Have you tried temporarily stopping antivirus. The AV hook could be corrupt.
Have you tried recreating her Outlook profile. That is the easiest thing to do and it solves a bunch of problems.
You can run Outlook.exe from the run command and put the /cleanviews switch behind it. It will reset all views to default. I had the same issue in the past.
Outlook.exe /cleanviews
Well everything is already configured just like I want it to be and the wizard seems as thought it wants to change DNS settings, etc...
Plus I am worried about running the wizard while I am connected to the server remotely. I may get kicked off and never be able to reconnect without going to...
I currently support 6 SBS 2003 servers and I have not really done much with the Remote Workplace website that is installed by default. However, I noticed on all of my "pretty much" default installs, the "Connect to my Company Email" link is not there. What am I missing? How do I get that link...
I have a few end users that are complaining about the same issue. If they create a new email and send it, it goes out in HTML format. If they receive an HTML formated email and forward or reply to it, it converts to plain text.
I did fix it by deleting and recreating their Outlook Profile...
Does anyone know how to do a screen print to either a locally attached printer or to a network printer from an HP thin client running Windows CE? Is there a piece of software I can install?
Just build a new 2003 server, join it to the NT domain and add the DHCP and/or DNS services. That is how our site is currently configured. The only thing we have left on NT is 1 PDC and 2 BDC's. Everything else is 2000/2003 running in an NT domain.
In Windows CE, Internet Explorer prompts for username and password and has the option to "Save Password". Now that the box has been checked, it never prompts again. How can I clear that so a different username/password can be entered? Or how can I disable that option to save password all...
I know it is possible to move a domain from one tree to another within a forest and also rename a domain in a forest, but can you move a domain from one forest to another? Windows 2003 AD of course.
I used DNSSTUFF.com and tested that domain and it checks out. Do you have a stale cached record in your local DNS server? What happens when you ping that address from your exchange server? It should be 72.242.62.18
You should be able to go to the HP Array Config utility and there should be a check box that shows logicial versus physical. Then it will show you which drives are on which array.
I would guess C: is Disk 0 only, RAID 0 so that is 36GB total (not fault tolerant, very bad)
E: is Disk 1-5, RAID...
I concede... maybe I am doing something wrong. If I buy 150 HP PC's, and an XP Pro OEM license comes with it. I am also part of a volume agreement which means I have an XP Pro key. However, I only "bought" one VL Key. So I only paid MS 300 bucks or whatever it is for that one copy. I use...
