Just wondering if anyone can help.
My set up is as follows:
SPeedtouch Modem
Linksys router (wireless)
Server (apache)
Now all 3 are on diffrent subnets (10 Modem) (192 Router) (192 Server) respectivly
My ISP has given me 5 IP numbers to use to host my hardware on (visible via the net)...
Hi
Thanks for your response. I have managed to get a connection but I cannot get a response from the modem. I am using a straight through cable as I was using a Cisco Blue cable before (flat). I have tried a few things but still no joy. I know it must be something daft that I have not spotted...
Hi all
Hope all are well.
I have been trying to configure a 3620 with a US Robotics Courier modem so I can get Exec Dialin connectivity through the AUX port. SO far no good. I cant telnet to the port (AUX 65 on 3620). I have followed the instructions on the bottom link...
We currently have some routers with ISDN backups. This helps if it goes down and we need to get in to configure. We are currently trying DSL. Are you using a Catalyst?
Hi all
Is there anyone that has used IP Allocation on a router rather than a DHCP Server? I have a site that comes in direct to our LAN but we want a seperate IP Scheme to run off the router. I know its possible but I have never tried it. Is there some where I can check it out? Are there...
Looks like I have sussed it. It seems that you have to put the Tree rather than the Server in the gns filter. Once I done that, it went flying through the Logon. Thats great! But now I have an issue with a vlan at one site only getting IP and no IPX! ArGgghAhgdwejhdgeiu! Its never ending...but...
Dont know if you have this sorted already....but if you are getting a connection dropped it is down to authentication. Check your passwords are correctly put in and that incapsulation is correct. It looks like it is. If this fails then you may need to call the service provider. There might be a...
OK!
Now i am really lost. I had a look at the GNS-filter which is in place at the moment and it seems that the Netware servers were not on the list (we had 2 on there). Added these to a new Filter list. Cool. Tried some logon tests and all seemed fine. But today we are still getting problems...
I agree. Your first step should be to check out the Cisco website for your correct IOS. Remember that Ram and the Modules installed (fibre, Wic etc etc)all have to be accepted by the IOS. The web site will tell you. Also, try not to download any TEST IOS upgrades. As these are not guranteed to...
Thanks for your advice.
I think I may of found the problem. We have a FIlter on the routers which force authentication with minimal Tree-Walking. This was applied a while back and for some reason seems not to work. That said, the issues have only started to arise but that could be down to old...
hmmm...I have had this issue before. I was configuring a 2600 router but could not ping my out going ethernet interface. But it seemed to work fine when put out to go live! I had a chat with a mate and was told that he had also had this issue some time back. He posted it to Cisco but never heard...
HELP!
I am pulling my hair out!
We currently have users using the Microsoft Client to logon to a network. But in the last week we have had slooooow login times when authenticating to the netware tree. Now, if you do alt+ctrl+del you can bypass the login and you go straight to windows with IP...
