Thanks for the advice but can you apply this solution to a group as opposed to the entire organisation. I know it can be done individually through AD but there are to many users that we need to restrict to use this method.

In exchange 2000 is there a way of stopping users sending bulk emails. I work in a college were we have over a thousand end users. At the moment students are abusing the system by sending mass emails out to everyone in the address book

I am unable to change, edit or add to the administrators mailbox addresses in exchange 2000. Add and edit are greyed out.
I also can not access the adminstrators mailbox through an e-mail client.
The address shows as administrator@mydomain.com in exchange properties.

Whan I disable an account in active directory the mailbox becomes disassociated from that account. Therefore when I re-enable the account the user as no mailbox. Is this normal and is there a way to get the users mailbox back
I am running Exchange 2000 / Windows 2000 sp3
