Whan I disable an account in active directory the mailbox becomes disassociated from that account. Therefore when I re-enable the account the user as no mailbox. Is this normal and is there a way to get the users mailbox back

I am running Exchange 2000 / Windows 2000 sp3

Thanks in advance

Mark

When I rightclick on the mailbox the option to reconnect is greyed out

I have the same problem. Have you found out how to resolve this?

Ok. Here is what I just did to connect to the mailbox.

Go into Active Directory Users and Computer, delete the mailbox for the user you are having problems with. Wait for replication then go into Exchange System Manager and run the Cleanup Agent on the Mailboxes. The mailbox of the user above should now show up with a red X saying it has been deleted. Right-click the mailbox and select reconnect. Now select the person A.D. account and after replication you should be good to go.

Hope this works for you.
