Do you use a Shared Variable?
You could just make the subreport itself invisible and show the section itself. That way maybe the value won't revert to zero?
I have a picture on my report which looks fine in the designer and the Crystal Reports viewer. The picture is our company logo with a white background.
However, when I export the report to Excel or Word the white background turns to a light shade of blue which contrasts with the white page of...
Thanks for the reply.
I didn't print the entire formula because it's so big! I've printed the whole thing below, note that I changed some of the variable names in the first post to conserve space. What you see below is the unadulterated version.
Basically if the following line holds a DateAdd...
Hi List,
I have a report which calculates the difference in minutes between two dates taking into account daily start and end times that are stored on one of our tables.
I have the following code as part of a formula on one of my subreports. It works with no problem, but as soon as I include a...
There is a single Stored Procedure with no links or filtering of any kind. I also doubt that security is an issue although all these things were worth checking.
If a parameter value exceeds the limit, whether it be 100 or 500, does it truncate the text or drop the value completely?
Thanks for...
I have a report that based around a SQL stored procedure. The default values for one of my parameters are drawn from a field on the stored procedure.
The problem is that when I look at the values that the stored procedure produces in SQL it is different to the list of values I see when I select...
I have a report that calls a subreport that contains a cross-tab.
This cross-tab can go over many pages but I only want the column headings to display on the first page. This is because we are going to export the report to Excel and only want the headings to appear once at the top of the...
Thanks.
Unfortunately that didn't work, it seems to put in the equivalent of a carriage return regardless of how big the subreport is. Worth a try though.
I'm on Crystal 9 with Windows XP.
Hi List,
I have a report that I'm exporting to Excel. It works perfectly except that when the export encounters one of my subreports it starts a new row in Excel. I can't suppress the subreport because there are shared variables that the main report uses. Hiding the subreport doesn't work...
If anyone has found this thread through the search facility this is for your benefit.
For about a week I was kicked out of Crystal with this error message whenever I tried to place a field on the report. It was driving me mad but I've found out why it was happening. I know there are a number of...
I have written a report with a number of linked Word documents dynamically embedded into the report. This works all fine and dandy when run through the Crystal Reports Designer.
But when the report is published to Crystal Enterprise the embedded object is no longer dynamis because changes to...
I've created a Word Document as a front page for my report which is linked as an OLE Object on the Report Header.
I would like users to be able to change this Document and for their changes to be automatically reflected when they run my report.
I thought this could be done but unfortunately...
Hi all,
I'm trying to create a chart in a Report Footer section.
The report will reference 12 formulas (residing in the same section) each of which represent a monthly percentage value. I would like to create a Line Chart with a line linking each of the 12 values.
The problem is that when I...
Hi List,
I have tried to search the archives for this but can't find the answer.
I'm trying to link two tables from the same database but the fields I am linking are different data types, i.e. String and Numeric. Crystal does not allow me to link the two fields.
Is there any way to link the...
Hi,
Is it possible to have a main report displaying and printing in Portrait, with a subreport running off the main report displaying and printing in Landscape?
I'm using Crystal Reports version 9.
Thanks.
