    NT client on Netware 5.1 LAN

    I´ve had a similar topolgy. I guess your NT uses IP(and Wins & the Netbios-Stuff) to connect to NT-Servers and use their shares. But why the heck do you need IPX ? Nw5.1 native protocol is IP ! And i don´t talk about that "spooky" NetwareIP, which never worked for me. Don´t worry...

    I´m not sure, but i ran into a similar prob after installing a servicepack and rebooting. First i thought of a faulty nic somewhere in the lan, so i ran around and turned off every workstation and printer until i had only the server and the router running -> still link up and down. it turns out...
