Thanks - I think that may have been the problem - I had the backup acct. in the Domain admins, but not in the Exchange Domain admins group!

How many drives did you get? If it is a new DL380 then it has the 5i RAID controller. if you have enough drives you could mirror your system drive on 2 drives and then use another three drives for a RAID 5 data drive.

I thought that RAID 10 was 0+1 ? You mirror the drives then put them in a stripe for speed? So then the total would be a min of 4 disks? I could be wrong - that is just the way I understood it! I believe that all of the HP/Compaq SmartArray RAID cards support it!

What OS? If it is Tru64 Unix the secure path is built in to the OS. If it is Windows or HP-UX or Linux etc. you have to have Secure Path to have dual paths -

I noticed that the devices (drives) reside in the /dev/ntape directory - I wonder if they should be in the /dev/tape. ntape stands for no rewind - does anybody know if this could be a problem? -thanks
