    Problem with Windows Explorer??

    Go to Add Remove in control panel and select Internet explorer click remove.It will not remove but it will show a box with 3 options. Remove, repair, and Restore previous configuration. Choose Repair. Follow the instructions given. Good luck!

    In addition to all of the above on FDISK/mbr,Format, etc.After you format and install win98 you might want to use the excellent(IMHO) Ieradicate program found here: http://www.litepc.com/download.html before you re-install IE 5.5.(or any other IE addon)

    Missing File

    That's a Win ME driver according to Google. Do a registry search for that name and delete all entries BUT if you have Win ME goto the Win ME Tek Tips section. Hope you fix it.

    Sounds like 8.3 naming convention woes. If this is win98 or win98SE you might check system properties in Control panel and click on Performance and see if it says that you are running on DOS compatibility mode.If you are then a possible re-install might be in order. If you aren't then somehow...
