sounds like your administrator has assigned you a MSI and rather not put all the files in the distribution folder or even worse not given you access to it!.

I had this on an XP machine, I took of disk caching and everything worked again. I am at loss to know why though.

All versions of windows allow you seach for files but you can only search for ONE thing at a time eg *.exe
