We never suggest you sync from thepalm to GM. It doesn't dedupe or update, It only adds. so each time you would get the contact as a new record in GM even if it exist prior.
Only sync from GM to the palm.
If you need more help I would suggest contacting your var. or us.

how about instead of zipcode use the prefix of the phone number or even county for the state. You could populate a county field via the lookup ini file.

I would try the sync wizard instead of the one-button sync to try and debug it. it could be many different things. like wrong ip address to an internet issue.
We never have our users use the one button sync because you can't debug it when there is a problem. I would rather see a sync profile...
Don you sent alot of email? there is a limit on how many show in the window pane. It is 1,000.
If you can still see them in history then they are still there.

Error Initializing MAPI, Cannot select MAPI addressees.
When trying to send an email from GoldMine using Outlook contacts.
You get this error: "Error Initializing MAPI, Cannot select MAPI addressees"
Go to your Windows Control Panel and choose Internet Options
Then...
Try this, not sure about the actvcode part.
The inside select is all the stuff that is and then you look for what isn't for contact1.
Make sure your createon for contact1 is correct.
I found mine to be bad.
The GM accountno is the create date.
If you do web imports createon doesn't get...
I have a question.
I do not seem to be able to add eMail addresses from my Outlook (MAPI) as it says that Outlook is not set as the default.
How would I set this?

why not start a formula field to describ the fiscal month
ie
if month="JAN" then ondate field =>'01/01/06' and ondate =<1/31/06 else
if month ="FEB" then.....
you could first choose the year and place that in the date
fiscalmth=
if ?fiscal time ="Jan" then ondate >= date(year,01,01) and ondate...
redo your links of the subreport. I have this problem all the time. after you link review the report filter for the subreport to fix the duplication of the link.
It happens hen I try to say the file.
I found the answer.
This problem can be fixed by setting the File>Properties
for "crw32.exe" to "Win2000 compatible Setting".
This did the trick.
thanks for answering me.
sort on the date, and do a running total to count the record by date. then format the section to hide if count <> 1
Jill
I usually do this for showing the most current history item.
How about
if (mid(uppercase{?report},1,3)="DAG"
is the ?report field a parmater field or a real field in your database?
usualy fields that begin with ? are parm field. so I don't see what it is matching with in your database.

Place the short cut of the goldmine exe on the desktop of the server,
then look at the properties of the short cut.
at the end of the target add these switches.
/u:username /p:password if needed /s:goldsync
the U represents a user for GoldMine
the P is that users's password
the S says to run...
Sync will not duplicate contacts between remote users and server. only sync with plam pilots cause duplicate records.
I'm not sure what Front Range told you to do.
