My HP Pavillion 782 running XP Pro takes forever to reboot. Upon reboot the screen goes blank, 15 minutes later the XP banner comes up and I'm able to logon. Everything works like a champ, but why does it take so long to boot?
Every time I log into my XP Pro account on my desktop computer a C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder pops open. The same thing happens to others accounts on the same computer. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this to happen?
Mitchelld1, I assume that the Gig-E nic card is a NC61xx series, and that he onboard 100mb nic is a NC77xx series. That being the case, you can team the two because they do use the same driver. You would have to install both in the Compaq/HP configuration GUI, and then team them. Good Luck...

use exchange admin and select properties for your "organization", "site", and "server". Within the permissions tab, add "permissions admin" rights for the user you use to make the changes you make. Good Luck!

This fix assumes you are backing up your servers. Restore the %SystemRoot%\System32\Dhcp\Backup\Dhcpcfg file to a temporary folder. Follow the procedures posted in Microsoft TechNet KB169229. It's a very easy to use set of instructions. This will restore your DHCP to the way it was before...
