when you initially add a user with
addusr. it prompts you a series of question from user name
login, group membership. At the end it prompt you if you would like the user to change password next time the users logs on. Hopefully this can help you.

I recently got a blue screen stop error on one of my office pc. I was just wondering if anyone knows af any known techniques I could employ to using the recovery console in win2000.

ALL, I have a network with mixed NT4.0 and windows 2000, servers and workstations.
I recently began building windows 2000 workstations and adding them to the nt4.0 domain. My problem is that I cant see them on the network. I can only see the servers but not the workstations.
My real question...
Do you have any other problems with any other commands? you are at the rouer# CLI right?
anyways ,if you have problems with your imput or output it may be a hyperterminal configuration. I would try a win98 box. worked for me. I was using XP and getting mixed messages from some of my routers.
All, thank you for your help. I took the router to a friends house and right before my eyes, it started working.
It seems to be the terminal settings on the hyperterminal.
Thanks all for your help.
