Simon No I did not. I'm sure life would have been easier had I restored both services. I recovered the exchange edb files. I found a reg key for restore in process which seems to have held up the recovery. I deleted the key and ran isinteg -patch and all services are up and running. Thanks...

Thanks zbnet. A new profile handles the recovery prompt. I am still unable to retreive the mailbox rules. the prompt is "Some of your rules could not be retrieved intact. They have been marked appropriately..." Any thoughts?
