Why not use the registry.
We use this to 'remember' size and position of forms. There should be al kinds of links to this solution. Try 'GetRegistry' in a VB-search-command
Yes, the report is OK without the trouble-picture.
I already downloaded the latest driver from HP and will try to find out if this is the answer to my problem. But still the strangest thing is that there is no (visible) difference between all of the pictures and one is bad and the others OK.
HP4 has 2 Mb memory. HP5 has 4 Mb.
Printing the picture with PSP6 is not a problem.
Picture-size (gif) is about 90 Kb. So that shouldn't be the problem.
I'm having problems printing a specific report on a HP Laserjet 5 si PCL 5.
It's a report with different pictures. One of the pictures causes the application to crash. If I print the same report on a HP laserjet 4 (for example) there's no problem at all. The crash is caused by a general...
Thanks caf.
I think the second method would be a little overdone for the simple task I need, but the first one is OK (and so obvious I oversaw it).

I need somekind of dialogue for selecting a directory. At this moment I use the standard Commondialog which works, but I can't get it configured for just selecting a path. So no open-file-box or save-file-box, but just the directory-tree and an OK- and Cancel-button.

We used to have a VB6/CR7-combination. Because we needed some of the

the (other) problems we had with the PC it was completely re-installed, but
only with CR8 (have a clean start).
Now we can't get the reports loaded...
I'm building a VB-application in which an external program is used (Paint Shop Pro in my case). It's called using the shell-command. I want to put the VB-application on hold as long as the user is busy in PSP. Is ther a way to do this (Do/While loop??)?
I'm working with CR and VB 6 also and have a same kind of problem. But with me the pictures are shown:
I use an image-control (ICROleObject) on the report. The filename and pathname are generated by VB. I fill in the picture with
the formattedpicture-command:
