    FPW26 to Visual Basic??

Thank you, that did help a great deal. There was really too much involved to change over at this point. My best option does sound like running Fpw2.6 code inside of VFP. Thanks again.

    FPW26 to Visual Basic??

I have an app which has been in production for 4-5 years, but it is still be added to daily(can eventually double). It currently is 50 forms, 100 reports, 50 tables (largest 55000 rows) . Everything runs great and love coding in fpw26...but I'm concerned about the future of it running 5-10 years...

FoxPro For Windows 2.6a Hangs With 100% CPU Usage.

I had a similar problem with a FPW2.6 and it all pointed to "set filter". When I started to eliminate Set Filter statements the problem disappeared in that area of code. Look a few weeks back for TONYPCG "FPW2 HANGS", maybe that can help.

    Eliminating SET FILTER

This all started when people where going into the app and it just HUNG, see my posting on 11/3/00 under FOXPRO2.6 NOT RESPONDING. There is some code in there. But the filter where standard...SET FILTER TO Student_id=="abc", or SET FILTER to student_id="abc" and...

    Eliminating SET FILTER

Thanks to all who responded to my problem. I guess I'll go with Foxdev's suggestion. I'm just hoping eliminating SET FILTER and adding the button code will eliminate the APP from "Hanging Up"??? Thanks again. Tony

    Eliminating SET FILTER

I used the HELP for INDEX and create a index like below. I can create these indexes in a batch file and only run it once or delete and recreate it in the programs. The dbf doesn't have to be exclusive, but this creates a IDX index (not CDX). It works but I'm not familiar with them, and i'm...

    Eliminating SET FILTER

Thank you for getting back so quickly. I understand your method, but could I use indexes created specifically for id#'s. Example: building a index where sid=m.sid, this will create a IDX and the index will only display records for that specific id#. Do you see any problem with this instead of...

    Eliminating SET FILTER

I'm currently eliminating SET FILTER code because I believe its causing an application to HANG UP(I previously sent a thread about my Foxpro app Hanging Up). The only problem I'm coming against is displaying a specific persons records on a screen. In other words, lets say i have 5 records (out...

    Foxpro2.6 "Not responding"

dgrewe, thank you for getting back to me. I had deleted and recreated the cdx before but that didn't work. I tried what you suggested and that too didn't work. I tried re-patching for fast processors, no good. It seems that if i remove all the data, it works until they put 200-300 records in and...

    Foxpro2.6 "Not responding"

I've been running a Foxpro2.6 app for several years. Recently while scrolling down records in an Attendance table using a browse window, or doing entries into it(through an application) the system hangs. The scrolling will stop or when SAVING, you'll wait 1-2 minutes. If you do Ctrl+Alt+Del...
