We are running a fast paste project to convert our mission critical application from JDE World to Peoplesoft EnterpriseOne. Stated in other words, we are moving from low bandwidth 5250 client to universal browser-based client which will demand a bit more bandwidth. My questions are as follows...
I am looking into deploying host-on-demand on an AS400 system (V5R1) to deliver a world JDE application to users and partners over the "Internet" with adequate security ofcourse.
Here's my questions:
1.Can I have all the clients access the host on port 80 only? (reason being is to...
Adabtec SCSI 29160 Ultra160 SCSI is droping transfer rate without any reason.
I have a compaq PIII server with windows 2000 server srv pack 3 software that uses the said SCSI card to connect to a Plasmon backup box.
It works fine with high transfer rate for a week or so then it drops transfer...
Hmmm, everything spunds okay. Unless the ISDN dialup lime is timing out after the idle time out.
To keep it simple. Try to have the router assig an IP address to the client automaticly. That ought to do it.
Check your router and see if the router can use your internal DHCP to assign IP...
Ya, this is what we do.
We use one server with BE and use agents on all other 15 servers. So, the media server is one server only with a PLasmon 12.2
You might be better of using one media server with BE installed on it and forget about the NSE.
BE/NSE relationship is a flaky one.

Whats the network address of the internal network?
whats the address of the first router and the second?
what address are you assigning to the dialup client?

When at first you don't succeed, try try again
Sounds like a routing issue. Make sure you have a route back to the client ip network. Is this a new setup for the dial up users? ie, have a client been able to dial up before and ping internal networks? When at first you don't succeed, try try again
Since you have 2 sites only check with your ISP. If you have the same ISP on both sides you can get your ISP to do it for you with a minimal cost. When at first you don't succeed, try try again

I am using basic authentication and SSL for connecting to a secure area on a Windows 2000 Server running IIS 5.0 over the Internet. I have a welcome/login page with a link. When the link is selected it will prompt the user with the popup window asking for the user’s name and password.
