we use Approach 97, probably quite an old version nowadays, the only problem is the screen handling during design, in particular reports and forms, where objects and screens jump about all over the place! Is this fixed in a later release? If so we will upgrade. Any help welcomed please

Many thanks Paul, as always excellent advice, have developed, tested and implemented this afternoon! Just one small point, the repeating panel is sorted by date (descending) I.E. most recent communication at the top, HOWEVER the blank row to key a NEW communication is under the bottom (oldest)...

We have an events database on Approach currently 85MB with circa 22,000 records and growing rapidly every month. Our admin function is soon to become a twin site operation, using a VPN based WAN, therefore our customer communications logging (currently a manual process outside of Approach)...

I tried this once and it didn't work, remember the TS has a single IP address, so logically it can't work, or it would get confused with multiple users trying to log on.

We have recently installed AFD Postcode (Post Office Address File Software) and populate address fields in Approach using same. How can I lock these fields down so that they can only be populated by the AFD software? I want to prevent users overkeying good PAF validated data with rubbish data !

Since going over to a W2K Terminal Server environment we have lost sound on the desktop (i.e. no beep when new email arrives). We are using locked down PCs as thin clients in this environment. I'm sure this is something very simple, any ideas would be much welcomed.
