You need to use the Autoexnt service to have the drive mapped when no one is logged on. the autoexnt service is part of the resource kit. see http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3052.html#Sect2.3 for some info on backing up mapped drives with legato (its a netapp doc, but is applicable)
Why not just change the savesets for that client from "All" to D:\mytest\thisdir, and C:\, SYSTEM STATE:\, SYSTEM DB:\, SYSTEM FILES:
This will backup the C:\ drive, the registry/os files and d:\mytest\thisdir.
Since our upgrade to 6.1.3 we have one client that now likes to repeatedly backup the same saveset over and over again. It was found that the nsrmmdb databases were damaged, though even after the repair we are still having issues.. Soluion has not presented itself yet...
