    Send/Receive details missing on Microsoft Outlook

    Try clicking on the Receiving Mail icon in the bottom right of your task bar while the mail is coming in. This will bring up 2 options -- Cancel and Details -- select Details -- Uncheck the "Always hide this dialog" radio button and you should now be able to see the progress bar. hth...
