I have a file system that I want to share to all to read but allow certain PC, with ip, to write to it. I'm unable to find the correct setup in smb.conf file
I'm running Samba 3.0.21 on AIX 5.2
Any help would be appreciated.

In AIX, I have a user that are not allow to "remote login", but is able to ftp to the server. But sftp does not allow this. Any reason why and is there a way to go around this?

We set our server to change time at 03:30AM.
We also have user who set their scripts at 03:30AM in their cron.
The jobs did not run.
Any reason why?

Yes it does.
On server 1 the block size of the tape drive is 1024, on server 2 is 0. I changed it to 1024 and rebooted the server.

I've tried to copy a user's vg, from one server to another. For example, server 1 has vg00 which comprise of hdisk2 and hdisk3. On server 2, I have 4 disks which has the same amount of space for vg00.
On server 1 I use this command: savevg -i vg00.
When I want to restore it on server 2...
Some of our Unix system uses numeric number as userid (PIN, customer#, etc..).
If I want to rlogin or ssh to those system from my Linux workstation I need to have matching userid.

I know with AIX, you can change the pre-login prompt with herald in the /etc/security/login.cfg file.
How can you do the same when login with ssh?
