Hi,
Is there a way to force RedHat 8.0 to create userid in numeric only instead of alphanumeric?

Thanks

Why would you want numeric usernames though? Why don't you use the uid instead for whatever purpose you need this? //Daniel

Some of our Unix system uses numeric number as userid (PIN, customer#, etc..).
If I want to rlogin or ssh to those system from my Linux workstation I need to have matching userid.

Thks
