I have a WINS server that I just added a new NIC to and statically set an IP for a different network (for backup purposes). When I enable this new card the WINS server switches IPs to the IP of the new NIC.
How do I stop it from switching IPs?

I have a WAN with 5 Windows 2000 servers. All are connected via VPNs over internet. All are in different domains, but trust each other. All are WINS, DHCP, ad DNS servers for their domains.
I have created lmhosts files on each server.

I fixed it.
Server 2 had a secondary DNS pointing to our ISP DNS.
I removed this so that Server 2 only had a Primary DNS pointing to Server 1(192.168.1.2) and that seem to do the trick.

Server 1(192.168.1.2) is the DNS server for my network and is also a WINS server.
Server 2(192.168.1.5) is just a WINS server.
I can ping Server 2 from Server 1 using both the IP address and the Fully Qualified Name(FQN),ie. server1.domain.com.

It's connect to an Adaptec 29160 on a dual Pentium 1GHz Server with 500MB RAM.

I have an office that has a DSL connection with PPPoE and want to know if anyone knows of a way or a device that will do the PPPoE authentication but NOT NAT.
I am trying to set up a VPN with Novell Bordermanager and Novell doesn't support PPPoE and the VPN will not work through NAT.
