Cancelled Restore Hangs
The service will stop eventually, ie 10mins or so, if you get a utility called rkill, it allows you to kill any process. Just use taskmanager to get the PID and rkill ##.- omnicent

Removing the splash screen
Hi, Our compamy manages many remote servers, some over dailup, we are trying to remove all splash screens from the programs we use in order to minimize the amount of traffic over the link. Has anyone found a way of disabling the mcafee vshield one? Cheers- omnicent

McAfee 45 sp1 Poor performance. WHY?
We've had this problem with a client, but it only seams to happen on the Win9x machines. Called the tech support and apparently theres a memory leak for 9x/me machines. The hotfix can be got at http://www.nai.com/naicommon/download/enginehotfix.asp Andy- omnicent
