I have the same problem but on a Novell box. How do I configure the server not use the catalog merge in a Novell 6.5 server ??

I'm thinking the database is corrupt. How can I initialize the database ?? I know I need to delete and recreate certain files but I can't remember which they are. This ArcServe is running on a Novell box and I don't have the database utilities that allow me to initialize via GUI.

The server is a 7026-6e1. I know 4.3 will support this IDE CDROM because I istalled the OS using the CDROM. The original CDROM drive which I used to install the server went bad and I replaced it with an identical unit.

BTW, I am running AIX 4.3.3. This is a test server which will be used to run tests to migrate to 5.3.
