Trying to restore by tree, can't see version history

either the others have been removed from the database by the DB Prune job, or database corruption.

I'm thinking the database is corrupt. How can I initialize the database ?? I know I need to delete and recreate certain files but I can't remember which they are. This ArcServe is running on a Novell box and I don't have the database utilities that allow me to initialize via GUI.
