I wanted to create a package with multiple steps which required the same values as arguments to various stored procedures. However, I found that once I tried to use more than three global variables (I wanted to use five), the wizard wouldn't accept query.

Actually moving a host server from one domain to another is quite simple and does not affect the SQL server and databases. What may be affected are the remote connections. In order to answer that aspect of the question requires more information.
