I am helping out with an existing Micros 3700 system, would like to add a tax exempt in tender media to back taxes out of take out orders, not sure how to set this up, any help would be appreciated..
I have just picked up a client with Micros 3700 series POS, they want to change the EOD to run earlier than 3:00 a.m., I know it is an autosequence but not sure if I can change the time it runs, any help would be appreciated.
Lengoo, what I did was just stopped all services, unplugged it from the network, shut it down, just in case things went south, I would have brought it back online, but everything went well, and it has been off since then. marmar49
Lengoo, I just used the Windows backup software to restore, when you select restore wizard, just select the information store you are restoring, and check log files too. If you are like me, with just the one, check the box that says last backup set. Make sure you have databases can be...
Lengoo, my Exchange Server is not a Domain Controller, as they say there are problems with running Exchange on a DC. Also I don not run SRS, only one Exchange Server, no cluster, I restored from backup saved to another location, another server in the domain, where I was saving backups, because...
Hi Lengoo, I basically followed to the letter the MSKB297289, I had the OS and all the service packs and updates done, so that when I was ready to shutoff the old server, all I had to do was install Exchange with the /disasterrecovery switch. Applied all my updates to exchange, restored from a...
I have read the MKB article 297289 and although it seems pretty straight forward, I am still planning for problems, if the migration to the new hardware does not go as planned, can I take it down, reset the system account again and go back to the old server?
Lander215, I have read the FAQ, as I said in my original thread, my questions posted here are not covered in that FAQ, these issues are not specifically addressed and I am just trying to be thourough before I get started on this project, thanks Marmar49
I was hoping someone would be able to answer these questions for me, these issues could cause serious problems for me if I do this in the wrong order, anyone out there willing to offer advice?? Marmar49
I am getting ready to upgrade the Hardware for my Exchange 2000 Server, it will remain just a member server, I have DNS and Global Catalog servers running on other machines. I have read the posts and the Microsoft KB 297289, but there seem to be a few gaps I would like to fill.
Full backup of...
I am getting ready to go through this whole process as well and I just want to confirm what Lander215 stated, where MS says to do a full backup, just the Storage Group, not system state, and would this be an online backup, since the next step states, "take the existing server offline."
Thanks...
OK, I had to remove the existing certificate, re-issue a new certificate, install it and now everything works fine, what a pain, but now its up, thanks for tip TRACEYMARYLAND, that was definately the first step, marmar49
Thanks, I tried that and I seem to have everything in place, but now when I go to the URL: https:\\mycomputer\exchange, I get a page cannot be displayed, I have double checked everything and compared it to the old server I replaced and everything is identical, I am in the mud, cannot get out...
I have just installed OWA for Exchange 2000 server, I have installed Certificate Services and created a new certificate but when I go into the virtual directory, Directory Security, the Server Certificate button is grayed out and it is looking at an old certificate that does not exist anymore...
Ok, these are brand new mailboxes, never been deleted, not old and hidden, and again the reason code is directory-operation-unsuccessful, I have checked all these posts and they are all the same, no help as of yet, anyone? marmar49
I am trying to migrate from 5.5 to 2000 using the swing method, we setup a temp Exchange 2K box, ran all the setup, created and CA with ADC, moved a couple of mailboxes that are test accounts, can get mail to accounts on new exchange to send to each other but not from outside or from the 5.5...
I am reading that NT 4.0 does not support the RFC2136 for dynamic updates and so it will fail during the upgrade and ask to setup DNS wizard, then when I look at transfers it asks for another 2000 DNS server, so I am confused, it seems they want me to upgrade my NT DNS to 2000 first, can anyone...
