I am creating a table from a query based on a data from a SQL 2000 linked table, whose properties cannot be changed. Everything looks fine when the table is created, and during the fixed width conversion to text file. When the text file is created, the field has the correct data, but then a...
Is there a way to adjust a setting in Adobe Acrobat (6.0)so that when converting a file to PDF from within an application like Crystal Reports (8.5), or even MS Word, to save the file after conversion without having the file open up on the desktop? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated...
This only affected one user profile on the computer, which the user wiped out and created a new one, which worked, but didn't let me continue to diagnose repair on the old one. Thanks.

I ran Norton Antivirus, adaware, spybot, cwshredder, hijackthis, and a manual registry search and they see nothing. Yet, no matter what is typed into the browser, or what the home page is set to, it goes to buydomains.com. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

This is driving me nutty, too. We're getting lots and lots of spoof alerts from the new AOL client on users pc's. Does anyone know how to exclude the alerts or fix it?
Thanks!

I get this too, but only when initiating the "ping -a" from XP machines. I believe it started happening after the pc's were updated using window's update. Any help with fixing this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm running Arcserve2000 sp4 on a win2ksp2 server and keep the Arcserve Manager open on the desktop. Frequently (a couple of times a week) when I check on it in the morning, or sometimes during the day, the manager application is no longer on the server desktop. There are no events in the event...
Well, I found the chgtest.exe utility, put it into a batch file and tested OK! The only issue I have now is that I don't see an option for the kind of erase to do. I usually like doing a "quick erase plus". Please let me know if you know how to select the type of erase in the chgtest...
I'm running Arcserve2000 sp4 on win2k server. I have a Sony AIT/3 library and would like to do a quick-erase on only the first tape in the library before the start of my backup jobs. I have a taperase.bat file (tapetest -d1 -z)that I use on another server that has only one tape drive, but I...

It didn't happen until I applied IE6 SP1. I can't find any articles that would address this problem. The status bar message when this occurs lists "dat a binding..." just before it bombs.
Here's the error I get:
Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to...
Thank you Debi & Wolf! I tried stopping the tape engine and recycling the library power and rebooting the server, and it still did nothing. I applied SP4 which did nothing. I tried uncompressing the tape engine fix and cazipxp was unable to open the files during extraction. I will try the tape...

Thanks for the diskpart.exe tip. I will check into that as well. I think for now I will move the pagefile onto the D: drive and then examine the options that were offered, such as yours. Thanks for your help!

Jason,
I haven't done that...I'll give that a shot! That would free up 1/2 gb and would be good as long as there are no performance ramifications.
Thanks!

Thanks, Steve. I'm not familiar with pathping, but I'll give it a shot. The packet loss has been 0 for quite some time now and makes me think it could have been a fluke or some hardware beginning to fail. Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
