Data Provider returned an E_FAIL status

Of course I mapped the L:\ drive. The problem lay in the version of the FoxPro drivers that were installed on the target machine. I just went to MSDN and downloaded the drivers. Thanks for your help though!

Data Provider returned an E_FAIL status

I'm using VB 6.0 and interfacing with Visual FoxPro DBF tables in order to retrieve data. I've created a datagrid to display the data to users and allow them to edit it. The code works fine on my development machine, but the code bombs on other machines with the error of "Data Provider or...

    BO 4.1.6 Doc_Agent errors - Can't export document

We no longer get support from BO for 4.1.4/6. However, we are in the midst of an upgrade to 5.1, so we have another contract with BO for assistance. Unforunately, it doesn't cover assistance with legacy versions. Based in Overland Park, KS

    BO 4.1.6 Doc_Agent errors - Can't export document

Sorry about the omission: BO ver 4.1.4. I am able to export the report using full client, but unfortunately, DocAgent's error messages are not very descriptive. All the explanation I get from it is that "Error, export failed." Thanks for the help!

    BO 4.1.6 Doc_Agent errors - Can't export document

I have been on the Doc Agent server machine and refreshed and exported documents from it without a problem. In both cases I was using full client BO. I have also refreshed the report using full client on the DAS machine, then sent it to the DAS, and it still failed. Thanks for the...

    BO 4.1.6 Doc_Agent errors - Can't export document

I'm attempting to send reports to the Doc Agent server and they seem to run fine (I'm just refreshing the data in them), but then I never receive the reports back. When I view the log, the error field states "Error. Cannot export the document". I have the documents already in the...

Global filters affecting reports after "duplicate report" is selected

That was the only solution that I found as well. Luckily, it isn't too arduous of a task to simply re-define filters. Hopefully, it is something that they will fix in the new version of BO. Thanks for your input!!

Global filters affecting reports after "duplicate report" is selected

Regardless of the placement of the filter (global vs. table level), the results are the same. Any filter that is defined using a formula (as opposed to just selecting from the list of values presented), is carried over into the child report and any changes to either the child or parent copy of...

Global filters affecting reports after "duplicate report" is selected

Hello all! I'm still relatively new to BO, so any help is appreciated. I have set up a global filter on a report, and when I use the "duplicate report" option on the tab, the global filter remains on the new report. So far, so good. However, whenever I change the conditions on...

    Counting in Multiple Queries

X123456X is a valid match, but it would count as C123456.  Thank you for the tip.  This will probably work, if I can allow 123456 be any 6 digit number.  Any tips for how to do pattern matching in SQL for Oracle?  I've attempted stuff like...

    Counting in Multiple Queries

The only problem with doing a subquery is performing the truncation in SQL.  I haven't found a way to account for all four possible formats except on the report level with a nested "if" statement.  Any suggestions on how to recognize and appropriately manipulate the...

    Counting in Multiple Queries

I'm relatively new to BO, so I have a question concerning truncating fields and linking queries.  I have a field (we'll call it F1) that comes in as four possible formats: 123456 78, 123456-78, 78-123456, C123456.  I also have a field (F2) that is of the form...
