Hi Mike. I have tried Microsoft Edge and eventually was able to log on okay with that so it has to be to do with the last update on the Firefox. I have not altered anything to do with Firefox such as add-ons.
I have accepted Firefox's latest version. I use Windows 10 32-bit. I have updated Firefox to 122.0. When I go to the Tesco site I am able to look at all the items in the store but when I go to sign into my account I get an error message oooops there seems to be a problem. I have spoken to...
I was hoping one would work with all. My friends have Skype, Whatsapp, Messenger and Zoom. I think it is easier to just phone them and talk!!
Thanks for the info.
I have never used video chats with friends but feel it is time to do so. I know Skype is the program in Windows 10 but can anyone tell me if you can use say Skype and talk to someone who uses Messenger?
Thought I would give you an update. I noticed that there was a file that did not copy over from the HDD to the SSD. It would not even let me open it. I have just got a cloning program and used that. It copied the file and all the others and now the Cardboxplus works from the D drive via a...
I have looked at the security etc. and have palyed around with settings but still no good. It is I think soemthing to do with SSDs do not act the same as the old hard drives. When I try to start the Cardbox I do get the Command Prompt screen which shows for about a second then goes. When the...
Although not a large program I do have important data in the Cardbox. As my hard drive is getting old I just thought now would be a good time to use a new drive so got the SSD. I will try playing around tomorrow then decide about the reformatting. I just feel I am missing something simple.
I have tried changing the drive letter but it did not make any difference. As the program ran okay on the old disk and on the C drive, I cannot see it being a hardware problem except for the SSD itself. I am wondering if I should reformat the disk and copy the folder over again?
The memory stick is FAT32 but both SSD C drive and the E data drive are NTFS. I do not understand why the software runs on the C drive but not the E data one. Cardbox folder on C works fine but not on E. Both folders have exactly the same details in them and the same shortcut. Am I right that...
Before trying what you have suggested I have tried a couple of things which makes me wonder if I have not done something wrong with the new SSD data disk.
Plugged in a memory stick into the USB with the Cardbox on it and it works. Copied the folder onto the drive C and it works. I feel the new...
Earlier this year I moved to Windows 10 32bit advised by yourselves. I am getting to know the OS but have come across something that does not make sense.
Since XP I have always had a seperate disk with my data on it. On this disk is a MSDOS program 16bit which is a small data base called...
I now have a copy. It was just that I thought I would mention the illegal copies that can be on eBay. I am waiting to get a new SSD then load the Windows 10. I have enjoyed reading the memory lane bit. We all have our favorite OS systems. Cannot imagine what the next 20 or so years will bring in...
I started with an Amstrad 1512 5" floppy disks to start it up. My friend eventually put a 100mg hard drive in it to make it easier to start up. He said that would last me for years! Things have changed and come a long way since I started on computers. I have found all your comments interesting...
I have made a complete note of all comments made and the links. I have just got a copy of windows 10 pro 32bit so after this festive period I will sit down and carefully enter the new world of 10.
Thank you all for your input and help. Much appreciated.
I know I am getting on in years now, early 70's, but I did once try DOSBox but I must be simple as I could not get it to work nor completely understand it. Virtualbox I have not heard of.
Is it me? Oh for the easy life of DOS!!!!!!
