The only way you can do it is by creating a new company and completing the import process you mentioned. It is a lengthy process and can be complicated when payroll and inventory are in the mix.

Select all the files in the company folder and change them so they are not read only. Right click one of the highlighted files and select properties then take the checkmark out of read only.
You should then be able to open the company

We've decided we do not need internet access on other machines so I'm liking your other suggestion. Do I need to setup DHCP or can I just have fixed IP's for each station? Say I used the 10.0.0.0 option, could I setup my server with:

Thanks for the note. I actually tried that and there is a problem with ICS if you have a DC. The link that you sent indicates in Warning #2 that you can not use ICS with a domain controller. I gave that one a good try previously but couldn't find a way past it.
Any other ideas???
When I login to my small network w2k server my the process is extremely slow. I have turned off redirected folders, do not have offline folders runnning and have uninstalled Norton Antivirus. I have not added any computer policies on the server nor the workstation.
