1 NIC ----------------> Internet (DSL)
2 NIC ----------------> LAN(Active Directory, DNS etc...)

I just have a sigle server environment.
My computer has two NIC cards, one for Internet and other for Lan Connection.
I have installed AD on this server with DNS server installed.
The problem is I cannot brouse the domain as soon as I start accessing the internet. The Intenet IP gets...
Ya, I selected DCPromo to install the DNS for me during the installation.
DNS is running fine without any problems.
I was curious if there is anything that I should look in the registry to tweak for the performance.

This is fresh installion on the Windows 2000 server.
I feel that the active Directory applicaion are really running very very slow on my computer.
Also the system takes more time to boot, I understand that it would take considerable more time because of Active Direcotory overhead.
I mean AD...
The PST file is local storage file which means that all the mails that are on the exchange server are downloaded and stored on the PST file stored on the harddisk.
that is why you are seeing the difference in the size.
It is like comparing Apples to Oranges.

Try to Patch up the store files. Runs the following command ISINTEG -patch from the Bin directory. and then try to restart the store.
If it still does not start try ESEUTIL to check the consistency of database. try the /MH switch...

Run DNS Administrator and check the Resource Records are configured properly, if this is server that you are configuring.
Look for the following RR.
Address record.
if your running a DC stop and start the netlogon service, this should register proper MSDCS folder records, LDAP and Kerberos...
