The PST file is local storage file which means that all the mails that are on the exchange server are downloaded and stored on the PST file stored on the harddisk. that is why you are seeing the difference in the size. It is like comparing Apples to Oranges. Hope this helps.... THanks and...

Run DNS Administrator and check the Resource Records are configured properly, if this is server that you are configuring. Look for the following RR. Address record. if your running a DC stop and start the netlogon service, this should register proper MSDCS folder records, LDAP and Kerberos...
