We are going to be converting some existing S8500 and S8300's to ESS/LSP's in the near future and are planning on doing most of the work ourselves. Can customers access the RFA site to download license files for LSP/ESS servers or can you only get the files from Avaya or a BP? I can get to the...
Thanks Dwalin. I got this to work. I had tried calling from outside the PBX, but had used a cell phone that was set up with EC500, so the PBX saw it as an internal call instead of an external call. I realized this morning and tried with a different cell phone and it worked great. Thanks to...
I set up test VDN 5005 and added VDN 5006 as the return destination VDN and verified 5006 does work correctly when dialed. VDN 5005 queues the call to test skill 999 I set up and I logged in an agent ID on my phone with that skill assigned and went available. When I make a test call from...
Thanks Wildcard. I tried this and it didn't work. Does the VDN need to have a certain COR that allows this? The Avaya documentation for Return Destination says this:
Enter the VDN extension number to which an incoming
trunk call will be routed if it returns to vector processing
after the...
Is anyone doing a customer survey after the call is over? If so, how are you getting the call to the survey after the agent hangs up? I know of no way to send the call somewhere else once the agent hangs up other than to use a converse-on step to send the call to the agent so the call stays in...
On the coverage path form there is an option towards the bottom thats says "Terminate to Coverage Pts. with Bridged Appearances?". Try setting this option to yes. I know this works if you just have the station as the coverage point. I have never tried it with a coverage answer group though...
Reppuha,
It's not possible to log in an agent using remote access because the PBX has no idea what station you are trying to log it in on. The PBX cannot log in an agent on an imaginary station. However, if you have EC500 you can make this work. You just set up EC500 for your extension at...
You can do this, but in your prompt you will have to tell the user to press the option followed by the # key (ie: 1#, 2#, 3#, etc). This will tell the PBX they are done entering digits so it will route the call. Otherwise the system will wait for the caller to enter 4 digits (or whatever the...
Go to http://support.avaya.com and then click on the "My E-notifications" link on the right hand side under "Support Tools". If you have not regsitered yet you will have to before you can sign up for updates by clicking the "Register Now" link in the bottom of the login box. Once you get...
I just installed software and a modem on a PC in order to handle these types of calls in our call center. Here is the website:
http://www.nextalk.com/products-cnsmr/nextalk_vm.html
It works well and has an answering machine service built in so it will answer the TTY calls if no one is around...
I have seen that error message before and the only thing that ever fixed it was to re-image the whole PC. We were never able to find any other way around this problem. It's very frustrating, especially since Avaya doesn't know why it does that.

Adtran also makes carrier class equipment. I have configured and installed two MX2800's before to extend about 14 T1's from a demarc to the building located about .75 miles away over multi mode fiber. Here is the link to the MX 2800...
Can't you just set both partition groups in the partition route table to go to the same route pattern? Then they would use the same trunk to dial 1800 calls.

Display Capacity" is the best I think. You won't be able to see how many DID's you have from that command though. For that you would need to contact your local provider to see which DID ranges you have. Ports, trunks, VDN's, vectors, and skills should all be listed though.

Yes, just set up two different coverage paths in your system. One would go to the remote coverage path you create and the other would go to your PBX (voicemail, another ext, etc). Then, do an "add coverage time-of-day 1" and put in the coverage path you want it to start out with. Then enter...
You can remove it. Do a change system-parameters coverage-forwarding and then set the Coverage - Caller Response Interval (seconds) to 0. That should get rid of the tone when it goes to cover.
Let me know if this helps,

It's set up on the station form on the third page. First you have to set up an abbreviated dialing list for that station though. To do this, do change abbreviated-dialing personal xxxx, where xxxx is the extension. Under one of the dial codes, put in the number you want it to dial just as you...
Orypecos is correct. You can set up a busy-ind button on your phone and put in the TAC as the extension. When all the trunks in that group are in use the light will come on. It will also come on when all the trunks are down and out of service.
