Greetings,
I have the exact error going on with my Exchange 2k box. Unfortunatly, there are about 2500 mailboxes in this information store. This seems to have started when I had a hard disk failure. I have since replaced the hard disk drive, and it has rebuilt correctly. I am still getting this...
Greetings,
I am running NTBACKUP on a Win2k server. I am using an SDLT backup drive. The backup will run, but when I try to do a test restore, NTBACKUP will not see any content in the drives. I can see the "C" drive, the "E" drive and "The System State". When I try...
I have not backed up to a file, but have backed up to tape. the first dialog box gives you a choice to append to media, or overwrite. Which ever is selected, I would choose the other. It seems simple, but who knows, it may work for you.
I know that this may sound easy. I just wanted to get a few opinions. My Manager wants me to investigate setting up an area on our file/print server to store ALL windows updates. This is to be for the various OS's that we have running on our network. The idea is to have users get the updates...

Ok, that makes sense. Of course I could not join the domain with this server. So then I would have to make sure that I had at least enough disk space to restore the database I choose? Does it matter if it's a smaller array than the original? How would I then retrieve the mailbox?
Thanks,
Dennis

I am running an Exchange 2000 mail server. I was wondering if there is a recommended database size, or any best practices for this server.
I had done extensive searching in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and came up with nothing.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dennis
I am running an Exchange 2000 Server, with Arcserve 2000 WGE installed. I do nightly full backups, and have the addition of a Brick Level backup on Friday Nights. My question is, can I restore the databases to a different server for the purpose of retrieving content from one mail box? I have...
I ended up going through all the areas that had a user name and password, and plugged in the proper account. Now it works fine, but still has trouble backing up a few of the mail boxes. Here is the error I get. "Failed to open information store" This is on a very small percentage of...
I am running Arcserve 2000 on a win2k server, doing local bkups. This is the file/print sharing server. About 85% of my user folders backup just fine, but the rest of them fail due to a sharing violation error. These folders have the same rights assigned to them as the rest. Also, it is the same...
