When I boot up a system with W2K Pro, I get an isapnp.sys error is corrupt error message. I went to Microsoft's website and found this-
Start the computer from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.
At the "Welcome to Setup" screen, press R to repair, and then press C to start Recovery Console.

I'm new to XP Home Edition and have a easy and stupid question to ask- How do I get a system with XP Home Edition to join a domain?? I went into Network Connections and did not see anything in there, and did a search and nothing came up. I'm starting to believe you can't with the Home Edition...
Please excuse my ignorance on this subject as I am a total newbie to Oracle- I was asked to install the Oracle8i Client on a W2k Pro system but it doesn't want to install. I installed it on my system and two others which are also running W2k Pro and it worked just fine. I thought maybe some...
Hello all,
I'm a novice at HTML and actually have never done this before. I was TOLD to edit our web page using Procomm Plus. I have tried messing around with the program, but haven't figured it out yet. Once I get into the page, I'll know how to edit it, but getting access to the page is...
The only thing in the logon scripts is just links to network drives. I can hard code those drives manually, but I wanna know why aren't the scripts completely executing.
Hello,
I have a Win98 laptop that is part of a NT4.0 domain. When I try logging in from W98, the scripts gets stuck at "Please wait while your logon scripts executes..". I've let it sit for a few hours and nothing happends. We use the scripts to attach to drives and email. I can...
Well, the problem doesn't seem to lie with the IP address, but more with the W2K server. For some reason, it won't let me add the printer port. I'm sure I could go to TCP/IP port, but I wanna know why this is happening.
Well, we are running DHCP so the network automatically assigns the printer and IP address. When adding it to the server, I'm selecting Local Printer but with the HP Jetdirect port. That's how I've added all the HP printers on my network, but this is the first time I've gotten this message...
Early Afternoon,
I'm trying to add a HP printer to my network on our W2K server, and when I add it thru Create new port- HP Jetdirect Port, it gives me the following error message- "Specific port cannot be added. The request is not supported". I've never had this problem adding a HP...
We are using WTS as a host to JDE One World, and today one of our users is getting a 'recursive scripting now allowed' error when going thru WTS. This happening when she tries to open to PRD modules at the same time. She has never had a problem in the past. I logged on to another system with...
We removed our virus scan (Damn Panda) and when we restarted the server, the Information Store wouldn't start. After doing some research, we found out the IS was damaged and has to be recreated. We have the all the old info and database on an old server. Luckily we have a backup of the priv...
I'm having problems with my outlook using office xp. The only time I can receive my emails (from within my company or outside my company) is by sending an email outside of my company. I usually send an email to my personal account, then all my emails pop up. It's like they are being stored on...
I'm having trouble with my Outlook in Office XP. The only time I can receive any of my emails is if I send out an email to the outside. Internal or external, it doesn't matter. I can hit the send/receive button all I want, but it still does nothing until I send an email outside of my company...
Is there a way to move the emails, contacts, etc., from one mailbox to another without creating a .pst then importing and exporting???
If anyone has any tricks I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
As soon as I open any program in Office 2k (Outlook, Excel, Word, P.P.), it stays open for a second, the closes right away.
This was a brand new install and it worked fine at the time of installation, but now is acting a little wacky.
Also running W2K pro on this laptop and have installed...
Thanks guys. I'll definitely check out the book M3Fan.
Wullie- I did a search on Intro to HTML and that was a site that was brought up. That helped me a lot and I actually got the hang of it. Thanks.
