Sorry, I did mean to say that the two pcs are not talking to each other! I am using a hub, cuse i have a cable modem and a printer for sharing. as is now, the internet is working on both of them but i can not ping either one. thanks

I am not sure I am following you. I am trying to stay away from hooking the printer to one PC. This would mean that PC has to be on at all times, right? I was thinking if i could attach it to the router it would consequently be available at any time....does that make sense? thanks
