My modem has a 10base-T port on it. So my connection to the modem is set to autosensing at the NIC level.
Even with 10baseT I should still get the max dl of what I get while connected to my router.
I plan on testing more on it...

Here's one that is stumping me....
Been having issues lately with my RR cable connection. So I decided to connect my machine directly to the cable modem. I saw download speeds of @ 250 Kb/s.
But, when connected to my router, i saw speeds of about 450 Kb/s.
What gives.

I moved from an 8mm to a Quantum DLT7000 drive for my backups... The DLT has hardware compression built into the drive. Do I need to disable compression in BE under devices and the jobs. I remember having to do something like this, but can't remember.

Well, actually I did fix the problem. I am not sure if it was a setting I missed. But I did allow for IPsec to pass.
All I did was reload my linky with the previous firmware.
Re-booted and logged on, no problem.
