Here's one that is stumping me....

Been having issues lately with my RR cable connection. So I decided to connect my machine directly to the cable modem. I saw download speeds of @ 250 Kb/s.
But, when connected to my router, i saw speeds of about 450 Kb/s.

What gives.

thanks

mike

problem with the autosensing between your nic and the modem.

My modem has a 10base-T port on it. So my connection to the modem is set to autosensing at the NIC level.
Even with 10baseT I should still get the max dl of what I get while connected to my router.

I plan on testing more on it...

thanks for the reply

mepperson,
How did you measure your download speed?
