Hey guys,
I am redirecting the Start Menu and Desktop, and this is working great. However, I've found that Icons in the All Users profile will also apply to the users desktop. This results in duplicate icons. I want to only redirect to the desktop I have designed. What must be enabled in...
We found out the cause with this problem. We knew that you have to have the default domain of the exchange server as an email address for each user that wants to access OWA. The solution to our problem is that users in the child domain must have an address for the child domain also. Example...
Our exchange 2003 server is installed in the root domain. We also have two child domains and we have done domain prep and have exchange enabled mailboxes on the child domain users. I have added the default email domain address for all of the child domain users so they should be able to login...
We have installed Exchange 2003 on a DC in the root domain. Forestprep and domainprep ran just fine. We have two child domains and have run domainprep in those with no problem. However, when I try to run exchange tasks on the child domain users from the exchange DC, I get a long pause and...
I am using the Windows 2000 EAP authentication on the client side and the Aironet points to a Windows 2000 IAS server. The server says that the client is trying to authenticate with an unauthorized authentication type. Does anyone know what type of configuration is needed on the IAS server...
My backup is missing these files:
c:\winnt\security\edb.log and c:\winnt\security\tmp.edb.
I was searching for what these files are used for but have not found anything yet. Thanks in advance for anyone who can tell me.
We had Backup Exec 8.6 backing up two other servers with remote agent just fine. I upgraded to 9.0, which also upgraded the remote agents. However, when backing up the remote agents, it backs up at a rate of 3-4MB/min and eventually stops progress for about 20 minute intervals. Has anyone...
I have an exchange 2000 server in a Windows 2000 domain. I would like to install a second Exchange 2000 server into this domain, not as a cluster, but just as another exchange server that links to all the users. Is it possible to install two stand-alone Exchange servers in a single domain?
Thanks
I have a WAN that has been working reliably for about 6 months now with a mix of Windows 2000/98 computers. I have two Windows 2000 server domain controllers. We started password expirations and then things got weird. The users had the normal prompt that their password must be changed, then...
I have users that come into a Terminal Server over a VPN and the server will sometimes assign them a different default printer than their normal one. I have not seen any pattern to this problem. I am hoping that Terminal Services will hold the default printer for each user.
Thanks,
Aaron Riddick
I have many FTP users that access my WebServer on Windows 2000 Server. Currently, everyone is dumped to the ftproot and then sent to their folder if their username matches the folder name. However, I am trying to group several websites under a user's folder. Is there any way to get the...
Thanks for the quick reply. I will most likely build a second server like you said with the same Org and site names. Is there any reason this server should not be on the same network as my main server? I am assumming its OK to name it differently.
Thanks again, and if anyone else has...
Hmm, Guess I don't understand exchange that well then. Is there anyway to have the servers redundant? I am trying to produce a failover situation where we can bring up the new server in case of a failure on the old server.
Thanks
I have a Exchange 5.5 server on NT 4.0 that has been running for years. I created a new Exchange 5.5 server on Windows 2000 server and joined it to the site. I can view mailboxes but the databases are not locally on the new machine. I understand that the replication takes place automatically...
